Hi!!! My name is  Alexis and I am so honored to serve as the President of the Sigma Chapter of Delta Zeta at Louisiana State University for 2025!  Through our website, I hope that you will learn more about the steadfast love that makes Delta Zeta not just a house on Lakeshore Drive, but a home for all to feel welcomed and loved. 

When I arrived at LSU, I had such a mix of emotions- excited, yet terrified- surrounding all of the opportunities and experiences that LSU presented me. I will forever be grateful for deciding to join sorority recruitment and join Delta Zeta because it is truly a decision that has changed my life for the better. I am constantly reminded everyday how blessed I am to have the most incredible women by my side supporting me personally and academically. The memories I have made with each and every sister of the Sigma Chapter will stay with me for a lifetime. 

Our chapter constantly strives to live out our values of belonging, curiosity, community, friendship, generosity and empowerment. Of these values we possess, my favorite value, curiosity, can be seen in every action of a Delta Zeta woman. Delta Zeta’s are leaders, friends, athletes and everything in between- all inspired by curiosity!! I know because of the friendships I have made here, I will forever keep exploring the world around me and how I can grow to fit into it. 

Another value that the Sigma chapter exemplifies is generosity. Delta Zeta members are proud to be involved in hands-on philanthropic opportunities. Having a personal connection to our philanthropy, I am blessed to have a chapter that supports Hearing and Speech as much as I do. Whether it is visiting St. Lillian Academy through our weekly buddies program or raising over $60,000 for our global and local philanthropies each year, giving back is something we truly value at Delta Zeta. 

A part of the Delta Zeta creed reads “To those whom my life may touch in slight measure, may I give graciously of what is mine.” Delta Zeta’s are the true embodiment of changing the world through an everlasting curiosity graced with the beautiful gift of our philanthropy.
